Inversions – shoulderstand and plow
…Cooling, upside down, turning inward.
Moving into an inversion is a process. There are many pieces that need to be in place and accessible to you before jumping in to the more advanced versions of these postures. Whether you are a yoga teacher or a student with a interest in improving your ability to work with the cooling inversions – sarvangasana (shoulderstand) and halasana (plow) – this class is for you. We’ll move through a warmup with all of the appropriate movements to support the body in moving toward these inversions. Learn the step by step process of opening and strengthening that build your skills safely. Increase your understanding of the benefits and cautions to consider to know when and what form of the inversion is appropriate for you and your students including alternate poses and when to pause. Turn your attention inward and upside down!
