In the late summer session we were exploring the kleshas – obstacles or hindrances we meet along the spiritual path.
- Avidya – spiritual ignorance; not knowing who we truly are
- Asmita – getting caught up in our ego or by our sense of pride; judgement, facade, validation from the outside
- Raga and Dvesha – attraction and aversion; the things we are pulled towards (can lead to addiction) and the things we push away (can lead to avoidance)
- Abhinivesha – fear of death; any fear, anxiety
